Lynne Herer Smith
A seasoned global strategy and operations executive, she has catalyzed business transformations for over 40 organizations, specializing in healthcare, technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and social impact. Currently advising impact-focused organizations, Lynne has a wealth of experience building and leading teams, advising on infrastructure, and driving cultural shifts for rapid growth and positive impact.
Formerly heading Business Design at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Lynne played a pivotal role in scaling annual investments from $3.9 to over $8 billion. Earlier, she led strategic consulting teams at Jones Lang LaSalle, providing portfolio strategy and lean six sigma improvements for major corporations.
Lynne, a Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Human Centered Designer, and Change Management expert, mitigates execution risks for organizations. With a background in finance, strategy, and teaching corporate finance at DePaul University, she holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from the University of Florida.
Active on Seattle's non-profit boards, Lynne is a passionate traveler, hiker, kayaker, and reader, and shares her life with her husband and three young adult children in Seattle.
